“This is the worst idea I’ve ever heard.” Perfect. We’re probably onto something. Because let’s be honest... Every breakthrough idea sounds ridiculous at the beginning. “A wheel? So… a circle?” “A toilet… inside the house? Seriously?” “Putting humans on the moon? Sure, why not Mars next…” Innovation doesn’t walk into the room wearing a suit. It shows up looking a little weird… and slightly uncomfortable. And that’s exactly why it gets killed so fast. Not because it’s wrong... But because it feels wrong... In most companies, ideas don’t fail in the market. They fail in meetings. Killed by: • “We’ve never done this before” • “Our customers won’t get it” • “Let’s be realistic” (“Let’s be realistic” has probably buried more great ideas than bad execution ever did.) Here’s the twist: The goal isn’t to have only good ideas. The goal is to not reject great ones too early. Because nobody knows what works... until it actually does... So next time someone says, “This is the worst idea I’ve ever heard…” Smile a little. You might be looking at the beginning of something big. Or at least… something worth testing 😉 #Innovation #Leadership #Startups #Product #Thinking
