Tonight's Fireside Chat with Dennis Speed kicks off LaRouchePAC's Campaign to Secure the Future, Summer 2018. Like any great historical campaign, it is bookended by events both from the past and the present as it moves to create the future. Wednesday marked the anniversary of the last assassination event of 1968, that of Bobby Kennedy, who followed Martin Luther King in death that year, by an assassin's bullet. The failure to solve those events truthfully, together with the genocidal war in Viet Nam, fatally marred much of the entire generation which passively witnessed them. On Saturday, the Schiller Institute will meet in New York City to discuss and deliberate about the future of great human development represented, potentially, by China's Belt and Road Initiative and cooperation between the United States, Russia, China, and India, in bringing into being the Four Powers Agreement stipulated by Lyndon LaRouche. This is the alternative to the Anglo-Dutch Empire which killed the Americans, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King while devastating much of our world. Saturday's event occurs at a conjuncture in history where, if creative power and human will are brought to bear, everything is possible for the good. The first step into the future is ending the spectator sport which American politics has become. Donald Trump represents exactly the type of iconoclastic figure who can rupture the present order. That is why he is hated and distained. But our role is not as spectators here; we must not repeat the mistakes of 1968. Into the rupture must come the actual program for change, implemented, once and for all, in the form of LaRouche's Four Laws for the economic rescue and general advance of the welfare of the citizens of the United States. It is a time when those who support us must be bold, must act, inclusive of fully familiarizing themselves with the principles of this program and organizing others to support it. It is a time for fully comprehending and acting upon the profound ideas advanced by Lyndon LaRouche about the fundamental nature of man's mind and its relationship to "nature." It is time for an American summer of full scale political organizing.
