Senator Bob Graham was the featured speaker at a press conference on Capitol Hill on January 7, 2015 sponsored by Rep. Walter Jones and Rep. Stephen Lynch, on the reintroduction of their resolution calling for the declassification of the 28 pages of the 9/11 Joint Inquiry Report, H .Res. 14. Senator Graham is the former chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and was the co-chair of the 9/11 Congressional Joint Inquiry. Graham has long advocated the release of the 28 pages, which he says "primarily relate to who financed 9/11 and they point a very strong finger at Saudi Arabia as being the principal financier." Graham accuses the White House of engaging in a systematic cover-up of the Saudi role, and asserts that the terror attacks in Paris earlier that morning were merely the latest incarnation of the consequences of not exposing the truth of Saudi Arabia's role in financing and promoting extremism around the world. Graham demanded that President Obama live up to the “Lincolnesque standard” of truth and disclosure, whereby President Lincoln made every message sent in to the State Department during the Civil War a matter of public record, as well as referencing the commitment by Lincoln and his successors to hold Great Britain responsible for its role in aiding and abetting the Confederacy during the US Civil War (the so-called Alabama Claims) — a direct parallel to what must be done today.
