"The Physician" tells the story of Rob Cole, an orphan in 11th-century England who, driven by a gift for sensing death and a desire to heal, embarks on a perilous journey to Persia to study medicine with the renowned Ibn Sina (Avicenna). The movie explores themes of faith, knowledge, and the clash between religious beliefs and scientific inquiry as Rob, disguised as a Jew, navigates the challenges of a different culture and medical system.
